Monica Willyard (plumlipstick) - Woodstock, GA had to say...Hi. I'm a single mom, freelance writer, and marketing director for a small company near Atlanta. I love to read and usually have at least 2 books going at any given time. I'm a mystery buff and collect all kinds of cookbooks. I enjoy reading mysteries, Christian fiction, books about Christian living, books about creative writing, biographies, books for small business owners, cookbooks, and books about making soaps and lotions.
I also spend around 20 hours a week volunteering for a library called Bookshare.org that turns print books into audio books and Braille for people who are blind or who have a learning disability that makes reading difficult. I'm blind and scan my books on a scanner to be able to read them. After I scan the books, I use the Bookshare software to turn my scans into books other disabled people can read. Bookshare has a special provision in American copyright law to do this, and many of its books are provided by volunteers who scan or proofread books.
My books are kept clean and without folding because that gives me clean scans to read from. I don't own a pet, and though I don't really mind books with a smoke smell, I don't smoke, so my books are in good shape for people who do mind.
I'd really like to make some friends here too, so please message me and say hello whether or not you end up requesting one of my books. :) |
